2. Hostel and Mess Fees are expected to be communicated to candidates by 31st May 2025. The fees for the first year will range between ₹1 - 1.1 Lakhs per semester. Hostel & Mess fees might be adjusted for inflation - 7-10% per year from 2nd year onwards.

What qualifications will graduates receive from NST?

Upon successful completion, students will be awarded a Professional Certificate in the Undergraduate Tech Program in Computer Science with Specializations in AI, Robotics, or Tech Entrepreneurship from Newton School of Technology (NST).

How does the parallel degree benefit students?

A formal degree from a renowned university will further enable students to be eligible for

  • Competitive exams such as CAT, GRE, GMAT, UPSC etc.
  • Master’s programs in India and abroad.
  • Government job opportunities.
  • Work visas for global career prospects.

We recommend students pursue the 4-Year B.Sc. (Hons) in Computer Science, offered by BITS Pilani exclusively through Coursera (online), alongside the UG tech program.This program is independently managed, with admission and degree criteria determined by BITS Pilani. Students must meet the criteria set by BITS Pilani to earn the degree. The process is independent of NST's involvement.

Is the Newton School of Technology, Bengaluru program fully residential?

Yes, this is a fully residential program based in Bengaluru. Students will be provided with hostel accommodations and mess facilities. More details on campus infrastructure will be shared soon.

Who is eligible to apply?

Students from the 12th-grade batches of 2024 & 2025 can apply for the Bengaluru campus via the NSAT admission test, provided they meet the following academic criteria:

  • >60% in Mathematics
  • >60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM)
  • >60%  in overall board exams

Pursue online degree in parallel

A formal degree from a recognized institution expands career prospects by making students eligible to:

  • Appear for competitive exams like CAT, GRE, GMAT, UPSC etc.
  • Pursue Master’s programs in India or abroad.
  • Qualify for government job opportunities.
  • Obtain a work visa for migrating abroad.

We advise students to pursue the BITS Pilani 4-Year B.Sc. (Hons) in Computer Science, offered exclusively through Coursera (online), in parallel with the program. This degree is independently managed by BITS Pilani, with selection and degree criteria determined by the university. Students must meet the criteria set by BITS Pilani to earn the degree.

The process is independent of NST’s involvement.

Note

BITS Pilani is recognized as an Institution of Eminence under the UGC (Institution of Eminence Deemed to be Universities) Regulations, 2017. These regulations authorize BITS Pilani to offer the B.Sc. in Computer Science program through an online format. As per clause 22 of UGC (Open and Distance Learning Programmes and Online Programmes) Regulations 2020, degrees at undergraduate and postgraduate level awarded through online mode by recognized institutions shall be treated as equivalent to the corresponding awards of the degrees offered through conventional mode.
