We have always heard about a student becoming a teacher, but have you heard about a teacher turning back into a student? Meet Tarun Sirji a.k.a. Tarun Verma!

This is the story of Tarun Verma, who has been teaching students how to code since 2006 and is affectionately called Tarun Sirji by his students. In the last 16 years, Tarun has taught hundreds of students who are now working as coders and programmers for various companies. As a curious child, Tarun discovered his passion for coding when he was in Class 12 and became so good at it, that he actually started tutoring 1st-year B.Tech students.

Tarun aspired for a dream job like his students but lacked the job-relevant skills or the support of a community of like-minded individuals. Being the sole breadwinner of his family and supporting his elderly parents and a beautiful 10-year-old daughter, he found himself driven to achieve his dreams. His students encouraged him to attend Newton School to refresh his knowledge and gain a better understanding of the current needs of tech companies. He is currently pursuing a Full Stack Development course at Newton School and also helps other students whenever he can and has set his sights on being a Rockstar Developer very soon. What a journey it has been, Sirji! We’re all rooting for you!
